“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” – Psalm 19:1
Today’s Sabbath fellowship at Vaughn’s Chapel was filled with worship, learning, laughter, and heartfelt connection. We were blessed to gather together as the Body of Christ with 32 in attendance, including 10 children and several guests. From prayer and praise to fellowship and Bible study, the day was a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness and the joy found in community.
🎶 Worship Through Song
Our worship service included:
- Jesus Friend of Sinners
- Make Heaven Crowded
- Joy to the World
- Red Letters
- Psalm 8
Sarah B. opened us in prayer, and Reda B. led worship as voices joined together in praise and thanksgiving to our Creator.
📖 Message: Songs to the Creator
LeighAnn Ellison continued Part 3 of her Psalms series, focusing on:
- Psalm 8
- Psalm 29
- Psalm 33
- Psalm 65
- Psalm 104
The message reflected on the majesty of God revealed through creation — from the skies above to the rain that nourishes the earth. We were reminded that all of creation points back to the power, creativity, and goodness of our Heavenly Father.
✨ Creation itself becomes a song of praise to the Creator.
🧒 Children’s Fellowship & Challenges
Our children’s class focused on Pentecost, while Jasmine organized a variety of fun challenges and activities for the kids throughout the day. These activities encouraged:
✅ Teamwork
✅ Participation
✅ Fellowship
✅ Joyful interaction
Seeing the children laughing, playing, and spending time together outdoors was such a blessing. Moments like these remind us how important it is to help the next generation grow in both faith and friendship.
🙏 Prayer & Praise Reports
As a church family, we lifted many needs before the Lord while also celebrating answered prayers and blessings. We continue praying for healing, comfort, strength, and encouragement for those facing difficulties.
We also thank God for:
🌧️ The rain and provision He sends
💛 Fellowship together in peace
🙌 Continued healing and answered prayer
👨👩👧👦 The blessing of church family
🌱 Closing Reflection
Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s Sabbath meaningful and welcoming. Whether through worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, or simply showing kindness, each person helped reflect the love of Christ.
May we continue carrying the peace, joy, and truth of the Sabbath into the week ahead.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” – Psalm 150:6
