This Sabbath, the Body of Christ Fellowship gathered together in fellowship, worship, prayer, and study. We were blessed with an attendance of 16 adults, 8 children, and 4 guests as we came together seeking the presence of God and encouragement through His Word.
Bible Study
The Bible study was hosted by Steve Martin and focused on the harmony of the Gospels, exploring how Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John together provide a fuller understanding of the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus Christ. The discussion highlighted how each Gospel writer presented unique details and perspectives while remaining unified in proclaiming the truth of Christ.
The study encouraged everyone to look deeper into Scripture, compare passages carefully, and see the consistency and reliability of the Gospel accounts as they work together to reveal God’s plan through Jesus.
Worship & Prayer
The service opened in prayer led by Gary Hall. Worship included:
- There Is None Like You
- Almost Home
- Praise You in This Storm
The congregation lifted many prayer requests before the Lord, including prayers for healing, surgeries, protection, wisdom, comfort for families, and guidance through difficult situations. We also praised God for answered prayers and the continued work of the Holy Spirit within our fellowship.
Message: “We Hold to This Doctrine – Part 2”
6
Michael Deering continued his teaching series titled “We Hold to This Doctrine” – Part 2. In this message, Michael used a “devil’s advocate” approach to challenge believers to think deeply about their faith, understand Scripture clearly, and stand firm in biblical truth.
The discussion focused on why believers should not simply inherit beliefs from tradition or culture, but instead know why they believe what they believe through study, prayer, and understanding of God’s Word. The message encouraged the congregation to strengthen their spiritual foundation so they can answer difficult questions with wisdom, grace, and confidence.
This teaching reminded us that strong doctrine matters because truth matters, and believers are called to remain steadfast in faith even when challenged by opposing views.
Children’s Class
The children’s class was led by Devan. Their lesson focused on learning to respect God’s name, helping the children understand the holiness and importance of honoring the Lord in both words and actions.
