If Yahshua Wrote to Us Today…

Today’s Sabbath gathering was filled with worship, reflection, prayer, and gratitude as we came together in fellowship at Body of Christ Fellowship.

The morning message was brought to us by Sarah M speaking on “Lampstands & Warnings: A Living Message to the Church,” a study through the seven churches in Book of Revelation chapters 2–3. Today’s study carried us through the churches up to Sardis, examining the praises, warnings, corrections, and promises Yahshua gave to each assembly.

The message challenged us to examine our own spiritual condition as believers and as a church body:

  • Ephesus reminded us not to lose our first love.
  • Smyrna showed faithfulness through suffering.
  • Pergamum warned against compromise creeping into the church.
  • Thyatira revealed the danger of love without truth and discernment.
  • Sardis confronted the danger of appearing spiritually alive while inwardly being dead.

A central reminder throughout the study was that these letters were not only written for ancient churches, but still serve as living messages for believers today. The question was asked: If Yahshua wrote a letter to our church today, what would He say?

Prayer Requests

  • Lisa B requested prayer for her nephew Hunter, who is currently hospitalized with kidney failure related to a pre-existing condition.
  • Prayer was also requested for Lisa’s friend Les, who is in the hospital on a ventilator with kidney failure. Prayers for Peace.
  • Tommy C requested prayer for healing from ear pain and blockage.
  • Kaila requested prayer for her Uncle Victor, who is hospitalized with neoplasms on the brain. Prayers for financial relief, peace, and answers
  • Paula requested unspoken prayers.

Praises

We also rejoiced together over blessings shared during service:

  • Tommy C gave praise that although the back hatch of their vehicle unexpectedly flew open on the way to church, nothing fell out and everyone arrived safely.
  • We celebrated a personal milestone as one of our church family members surpassed a walking goal and reached 4 miles.

Announcements

  • Preparations are continuing as we finalize details for the upcoming yard sale. June 4th, 5th, and the 7th
  • Pentecost services will be held on the 23rd during regular service hours. Both the morning and afternoon messages will be brought to us by Michael Deering.

Worship Through Song

Today’s worship songs included:

  • Awesome God
  • Where Could I Go But to the Lord
  • Zion

We were also blessed by a heartfelt Mother’s Day word shared by Jasmine and Tommy, honoring mothers and recognizing the love, strength, sacrifice, and faith they pour into their families and communities. As Mother’s Day approaches, we extend love and appreciation to all mothers, grandmothers, spiritual mothers, and women who faithfully nurture and care for others each day.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28
