Scripture: Deuteronomy 16:3
Unleavened bread is called the bread of affliction. It reminds us of Israel’s hardship in Egypt and Yahweh’s mercy in bringing them out.
Bondage is not only physical — it can be spiritual, emotional, or habitual. Yahweh did not bring Israel out so they could remain in the mindset of Egypt.
During this feast, we remember:
We were brought out to serve Yahweh.
Leaving Egypt meant leaving:
- Fear
- Oppression
- Idolatry
- Slavery
Today is a reminder to leave behind whatever keeps us from walking fully in obedience.
