Strengthening Our Ministry Relationships

On the Sabbath of December 13th, after worship and prayer requests, Sarah Brower gave a Scriptural Reflection on Matthew 25:40 and James 1:27 with a look at the consistency of our Father’s concerns for the widows and orphans as even Psalm 82 expresses His mandate to care for them.

In concert with her Reflection, Michael then shared the trip he and Ericka took to visit with the COG Faith Fellowship in Gray Summit, Missouri and reunite with Sagar Jalli and his family who are the Directors for Hebron Orphanage in Pallokollu, Andhra Pradesh, India. They were visiting the United States for the very first time to attend his daughter Shiny’s graduation from Northern Illinois University.

Sagar arrived with his wife Suneeta, his sons Sasson and Sahar – and it was our first time meeting his children since they were born after the last time Brother Michael visited India.

To explain why the visit was important, Michael shared the history of his involvement with Hebron in India beginning with Rienne explaining to the congregation what life is like for the tens of millions of street children and orphans in India, and her ministry to the oprhans at Hebron.

Michael then presented a video about Hebron and the mission that Sagar and his family undertake to serve the orphans under his charge:

After this video, Michael shared the details of his visit with our sister congregation, as this was the first time meeting Sagar face to face after many years of support to the orphanage from their congregation. Sagar and his wife Suneeta presented the ladies at Ron and Cynthia Saladin’s home with honor shawls for all of us whom are involved in serving his ministry.
